The UK's top-rated forest schools
In the summer of 2021, we opened our first ‘hive’ in the beautiful community garden of Platt Fields Market Garden. Having achieved such fantastic feedback, largely from the parents of neurodiverse and disabled children who would have otherwise struggled to access green spaces safely, we have expanded to four ‘hives’ or forest schools in Fallowfield and Beswick, Manchester; Hattersley, Tameside and Broughton, Salford.
We have a successful model of running often urban and always inclusive green spaces which allow children from inner-city and low-income families to access the great in the great outdoors. We host a majority of free-to-access forest schools, generously funded by Manchester City Council, Onward Homes and Salix Homes.
Inclusive Tuition
Our Founder, Siân Millward, is a UK-qualified primary school teacher with 16 years of experience working with children and young people. We specialise in offering education solutions to children who have struggled to access their education through formal schooling. We currently offer online options to children globally who want to (often loosely) follow the National Curriculum for England and Wales. We teach Early Years aims such as phonics and early reading and writing through to English, Maths and Science for Primary. We also have in-person options for most children around Manchester, such as specialists in autism education with a focus on communication skills. We are receiving an increase of requests for forest school-style alternative provision (AP) options, if this is of interest to you please reach out. All of our education packages are based on what your child needs next and are bespoke to their learning styles, access needs and interests.
